Keymapping Questions
Mods, if this isn't the right place, please move it, thank you!
Ok, guys, I have a question. Ready for it? Is it possible to make clicking the mouse wheel a command to cycle through targets like the default key "tab" does? I did a search on forums and didn't find anything that helped. |

If your mouse software allows you to assign keys to that mouse function then just do that and then set the secondary key bind for that action to what ever key you assigned to the mouse wheel click.

Have you tried simply going into the controls options and assigning the mouse button to the same thing as TAB? ("target next" or whatever it's called.)
You should be able to do that without any software or assigning of mouse buttons to keys - in fact it's better if you don't assign the mouse button to a key nor install any mouse software. GW (and Windows) can directly detect Mouse1 (right button), Mouse2 (left), Mouse3 (center/scroll), and Mouse4 & 5 (thumb buttons) without any additional steps. EDIt - after trying it, it seems that, although mouse4 and mouse5 can be directly assigned, mouse3 can't be. So I guess that assigning mouse3 to a key (such as TAB, to make things simple) would be the way to go. Or you could use mouse 4 or 5 instead of 3. edit#2 - btw, be aware that GW has some fixed internal "binds" and that trying to re-assign Mouse3 might cause some strange results. Ok, thanks guys, I just ended up switching mb3 to tab and haven't experienced anything weird yet. Thanks for input!
